Gary Michael Skye, a solo and collaborative pianist, electronic
keyboardist, singer, vocal coach, composer, and teacher, began playing
the piano at age four. He graduated from the San Francisco Conservatory
of Music's Preparatory Division in piano and voice. For two years, he
studied piano at The Eastman School of Music, in Rochester, NY. Desiring
a broader academic education, he decided to transfer to Stanford
University, where he graduated in 2000 with a degree in Psychology. He
then did post-baccalaureate work in solo and collaborative piano on
scholarship at the University of Colorado at Boulder, studying with
Robert Spillman. In 2007, Gary completed his master's degree in piano
